If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling stuck in patterns that aren’t working, struggling in your relationship, or carrying anxiety or low mood that won’t quite lift. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist in Mississauga, and I offer a warm, accepting space where you can feel genuinely heard, on your own or with your partner.
A core part of my work is with couples. I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a well-researched approach to couples work that helps partners understand the deeper emotions driving conflict, repair trust, and build a more secure connection. Whether you’re navigating recurring arguments, a specific rupture, or just a feeling of distance you can’t name, we work toward something steadier together.
With individuals, I draw on the same collaborative, down-to-earth style and evidence-based approaches to help you move through hard stretches with more ease and self-compassion. Whether it’s anxiety, low mood, or wanting to understand yourself better, we can work together, without judgment, toward change that actually fits your values.

Common questions
What is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples?
EFT is one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy. It works on the idea that most repeated arguments are about underlying feelings, fear of disconnection, of not mattering, of being misunderstood. EFT helps partners surface those feelings safely, change the pattern they’re stuck in, and rebuild a deeper sense of closeness and trust.
Do you see couples, or just individuals?
Both. Madelin works with individuals and with couples, using EFT.
I'm nervous about therapy, what's your style like?
Warm and down-to-earth. No jargon, no judgment. The first session is mostly about understanding what’s going on and whether it feels like a good fit, whether you’re coming on your own or with a partner.
Do you offer a consultation first?
Yes, a free 15-minute call to ask questions and get a feel for whether we’re the right fit, with no pressure either way.
The first step is a free 15-minute consultation, a chance to ask questions and see if it's the right fit.
