Reaching out is often the hardest part, especially when it’s for your child, or when you’re not quite sure how to put what you’re feeling into words. I work with children as young as three, along with teens, adults, and families, and I try to make therapy feel less clinical and more human from the first session.

With younger children, a lot of the work happens through play, because that’s how kids make sense of the world. I’m trained in Theraplay and play-based approaches that help children feel safe, understood, and more in charge of big feelings, including kids who experience anxiety, struggle with focus and attention, or are working through something they don’t quite have words for yet. Parents are part of the process.

With teens and adults, I draw on practical, evidence based methods, including CBT-informed work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, for anxiety, low mood, ADHD, and stress.

Having lived and worked in both Canada and Italy, I offer therapy in English and Italian, and I bring a culturally aware, strengths-based lens to everyone I work with. Whatever brings you in, the goal is the same: a space where you, or your child, feel genuinely supported.

Common questions

Do you work with young children?

Yes, from about age three. With little ones the work is play-based; I’m trained in Theraplay and play therapy, which help children process feelings in a way that makes sense to them. Parents are part of the process too.

Yes. Play and creative work let children express what’s going on for them before they have the words, which is especially useful for anxious kids, kids who struggle with attention or self-regulation, and kids working through difficult experiences. The work meets them where they are, and parents are part of how we shape it.

Yes. Sarah works in both English and Italian.

ACT is an evidence-based approach that helps you make room for difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, while taking action toward what matters to you. It’s especially useful for anxiety, stress, and feeling stuck, and Sarah uses it as one of her main approaches with teens and adults.
